A Story of a Pilot

A new character, in .535. Started with a wraith, and no mecha skills at all (ran out of skill points before I got there).

His first fight was against a single Buru Buru, and a long battle it was. He lost his left wing early, but in a space battle that only slowed him slightly. His opponent lost a head, an arm, but kept going relentlessly.

Since it appeared that neither participant could consistently hit the broad side of the proverbial barn, the inevitable happened. Both mecha ran out of ammunition. Both were, of course, extremely badly damaged by then.

The Buru Buru had a mecha cutlass, with which he swiped at the wraith every time it got close enough (trying and failing to ram a moving target). The Wraith pilot eventually got an idea - spent some spare experience on Taunt, and persuaded the only armed mecha on the battlefield to abandon his mech.

He limped back to the spinner, guns empty and mech battered. Stopped by the elevator to chat to someone before visiting the mechanic.

"If you hurry outside right now, you might be able to catch those raiders you're looking for!"

"...you're not serious, are you?"

Mod +5, response made of win versus NPC cluelessness.
