Use plasma cannons, and dodge. Cannon fodder works, but there's no guarantee.

Don't those hit areas/line?

You could, but I'd prefer using cannon fodder and martial arts, personally, but not many people can rival a plasma cannon with their fist.

I suppose the Plasma Cannons from those SL0 mecha monsters might suit just fine. What are those called again?

Sentinels. I prefer them to the "normal" plascannon because they're BV:9, IIRC.

I've always used the Sentinel model. I can't find them [normal plasma cannons] in shops very often. I was assuming that the Cyclopes were the source, given that I haven't played in a while.

My first character in GearHead is a martial artist, with most of the points spent improving her kung fu.

That doesn't work too well though... it seems martial arts is a very specialized path to take in GH. You gotta devote yourself to it to succeed.

It's a habit from Fallout2... the first character I created is an unarmed specialist, with small guns as backup... that rocked and I finished the game on the first try. Later on I made many different characters, but all have points in unarmed.

Including one specializing in throwing... that one was fun. I gave him plenty of strength and perception to maximize the no. of grenades he could carry and the range he could throw to (with feats). He stuffed the car trunk with all the grenades he could find, and then grabbed as much as he could carry to face the Enclave. He won the final fight by himself.

Unarmed combat works really well in Morrowind, because I'm too lazy to use weapons. Until you get enchanteed doom-weapons.

Actually, I recommend Martial Arts and Big Guns! For both games, I mean. I find the combination fits nicely; martial arts needs a strong, tough body, and heavy weapons with ammunition (like having half a dozen types of shotgun ammo) requires a fair amount of strength as well. Most fun I ever had in Fallout 1 was playing a Big Guns character who specialized in rocket launchers. It's more entertaining than you'd ever guess!
However, Small Guns as a backup is much more compatible with Zeron Armor, so you've got something there for Gearhead.

Yep, melee and big weapons complement each other nicely, unless you're a ninja or a pirate and prefer small weapons with finesse.

I've done that for Fallout2 too. I position myself behind cover, move out, shoot missile, move back in. Not as good as a grenadier since rockets are much heavier, but you get more flying body parts as a compensation. ;)

For a melee/unarmed, I aim for the super sledge... if they come close enough, I poke their eyes out, then hammer them away. :D

Getting back to the original topic, I saw the funniest thing while walking to school yesterday. It was raining, and a bird landed on the branch of a tree. I guess the branch was slippery from the rain because the poor bird slipped right off and fell. At the last moment, it grabbed the end of the branch in its beak and for a second or two was swinging back and forth on the end of the branch like a living cartoon. After that it flew up and found a better perch.

I've recalled having lots of walk-off cliff moments. Maybe I should make a montage.
