Archaropteryx has fallen! 15 damage

It's GH1... I forgot to put it in the title, sorry.

I got that when walking around the Snake Lake Park. LOL!

... but I think this is a bug. Probably need a new code segment to cater for it though...

It probably walked off a hill. NPCs are remarkably stupid about that.

A bird falling off a cliff... perhaps it's a male and it inherited the Simpson gene. :P

Or the on-foot mecha fighters who use only martial-arts. Mechadors, I call 'em.

I still maintain Mechadors are funnier. Conflict of interest, I know. Though "Fear my Happy Codpiece" could be funny. Poor Haiho. I can never take it seriously.

While we're on the topic of funny AI moments... do AI care about area effect attacks harming friendlies?

On personal scale all my team is going heavy weapons - and I've just found plasma cannons for sale. I was worried that my lancemates would shoot me in the back with the LINE property, so I only bought one for my own use.

I can imagine how powerful my team would be if we're all using plasma cannons... if only we don't kill each other with the blast.

I believe I have heard that the AI (Lancemates and Robots) do tend to kill the player, even if inadvertently, with plasma cannons.

THE MACHINES ARE REBELLING!

It's been a bit since I managed lancemates that could consistantly use AoE weapons in GH2, but I will most definately confirm that friendlies will happily turn you into a melty pile of flesh-giblets with line/blast weapons back in GH1.

So, yeah. Plasma cannons for lancemates probably bad idea.

Yep. Only give your lancemates assault rifles and chainguns, kiddies!

On a side note, are there chainguns?

I find uses for bullets and missiles in mecha... while in personal combats, I went for all laser. Mostly because I find carrying extra ammo is very, very heavy.

Every lancemate has a laser cannon (gas vent), and either a dual laser rifle (gas vent) or a plasma rifle (barrel extension).

My character uses a plasma cannon (gas vent) and plasma rifle (barrel extension).

Full Maximus on everyone.

Seems to be okay for most, but Hunter-Killer/Berserker are quite difficult to kill... takes a lot of hits to bring them down. Assassin Lords are hard to hit too. Those humanoid robots in Last Hope Biolab level 2 are impossible to fight (I managed to run away though).

I'm rather fond of using ballistics just for the varying ammo I can carry. This does occasional mean micromanaging my lancemate's inventory, seeing as how s/he doesn't know how to reload, but it's kinda fun running about with automatic shotguns full of explosive rounds.
Very X-Com.

duel wield quad rocket launchers may have an effect (or build some non sentient robots and use them as cannon fodder)
