3 wouldn't work since there aren't any codings for it.
While 0 would make the mecha work, though it'd be unpilotable since you'd be SF-1 to pilot it.

is there a way to make a SF -1 pilot (like a robot or remote control)

dose the code actually say that the pilot be at least 1 less SF than the mecha?

3 would be worthless as of yet, 1 would be possible, 0 would not be. There could be a remote control script later, but not now, if I am correct. I think there is a rule, defined in the code.

IIRC scale can be changed and most of the stuff will work...

 but you need to be at least 1 less size than the mecha to enter in a cockpit (so no mecha 0 for the player)

 but scale 3 mechas will not be able to show in scale 2 maps as they are bigger than the mech scale just as mechas don't show on personal scale 0 maps (not sure enough)
 The best way to do it is.. just create one of them (cheap) and test in an arena.

is there any way i could have a SF 0 lance mate in a mecha battle (like a non-sentient robot with a bazooka)

some mecha have special modules that effect stats (arachnoid domino) could a module affect SF?

Get a lancemate and don't assign him/her a mecha, easy as that.

Nope.

A module is a component, so it would maybe be able to affect its own SF, but would only cause errors if any effect at all in a mecha.

well i guess that answers my questions about mecha size so here some other things i've been wondering

1.can a omnithiod fly without jets?

2.what tech powers mecha's engines?

then how come omnithiods get a major thrust boost just for having wings? (and how come there is only 1 omnithoid in the entire game?)

Classes of mecha get bonuses, the modules do nothing.

Errr ... ornithoids get extra wing bonus:

If they have more wing points (size of wings) than its size they get and extra 150% bonus over the lift gained from movement systems (jets...)
Quoting: movement.pp line 407
if WingPoints > MasterSize( Mek ) then Thrust := ( Thrust * 3 ) div 2;

PLUS they get the the wing points as extra lift (even if they have too few of them to the previous condition).

Quoting: movement.pp line 408
Thrust := Thrust + WingPoints * Thrust_Per_Wing;

To fly, Thrust_Per_Wing is "80", each ArcJet gives 100, Flight Jets 113 and Hover Jets just 13.

Awesome. That means that almost any Ornithoid flies, with almost no jets.

i made a design with no jets and i saw it air born in game (i just haven't saw it for sale and its smaller than the swan so its fragile)

speaking of the swan it FREAKING IMPOSSIBLE TO CAPTURE BECAUSE IT ALWAYS FLY OUT OF THE ARENA IF IT DOES THAT I SHOULD GET IT AUTOMATICALLY IF I WIN!
