Maybe we need a new forum, "Joe's Bloglike Pointless Posts"... here comes another one.
My sister was interviewed on CBC news yesterday. If you're curious, you can view the video here (skip forward to the 16 minute mark):
http://www.cbc.ca/nl/The story is about how Sandi had a stroke when she was 8 years old, recovered from it, got involved in art therapy, and is now preparing to fly to Denmark to read a paper about it to a conference. We were talking about the interview on MSN the other night, and Sandi used my comment that art is like exercise for the brain. However, she left out my comment that the brain works in the same way as a giant "Lite Brite" machine.
The reporter says that Sandi is planning to start an art-related business; this is kind of misleading, since she already runs an internet art supply store and does private painting lessons. She should have said that Sandi is planning to start
another art related business.
You can see me in one of the photos of Sandi as a child, along with our Great Uncle Joe. An interesting detail that was left out of the story is that Sandi took her stroke at my seventh birthday party... that's big sisters for you. They always have to be the center of attention.
The painting of the little girl that Sandi is working on is her daughter, Natalie.
