And then there's the matter of Cyber-Psycho and Extropian...

1. The map of the L5 region in GH2 is far bigger than the world map in GH1. I need to add something so the PC will automatically eat food while traveling.

This would help, but it doesn't change the fact that one will need a MASSIVE quantity of food just to get halfway to a destination, because I took only three steps from Maquise Spinner and got nine 'Akira is hungry' messages... (Akira being my character for this play through) and I had made sure to get him as full as he could get before taking off. Though, perhaps I should invest in more than just two levels of Survival...

Eh... food's pretty cheap though, even for the expensive stuff (deluxe ration, etc), and you can stick a pretty much unlimited amount into your mecha. I think I stuffed around 20-30 deluxe rations into my mecha and was able to get from spinner to spinner on the world map without much trouble.

EDIT: If the transit is causing a lot of trouble, though, you can always find yourself a light mecha frame, strip it down, and slap on as many arc jets/(s)flight jets/overchargers as you can. A speedy mecha cuts down travel time a fair bit. Just make sure to remember to 'R'un, heh. 'Course, that does mean you'd have to have your combat-mecha delivered to your new place, but I've fairly sure that's a bit cheaper than just taking the bus-thingy, so it might help.

True... Eh, since I'll be eating most of it on the way anyway, Reflex and Speed reductions shouldn't hurt me too much... Too bad I can't just bring my Neko from the Arena mode, since it's proven fairly fast, even with all it's weapons (course, I think the heaviest it has right now is a torso mounted HPC and it's incendiary missiles, though I can't be sure right off, I'd have to check) ah well, thanks for the help you guys. I'm off to figure out the arena mission thing so I can try to make a drag race mission or something *shrug*

Ah, no, no, you can transfer the excess rations straight into your mecha's inventory -- as near as I can tell, you can stick as many scale zero (kg-weighted items) into a mecha as you want without risking any penalties to the mecha's performance. When I find someone selling deluxe rations, I'll buy... a lot. 80+, sometimes, and then stuff the majority of it into my mecha. Other than keeping a few on person for dungeon crawling, it lets you more or less not worry about food -- after all, your mecha is almost always accessable, one way or another. It's a load off the mind... and the back, heh.

EDIT: It's SF:0, not SF:1. Oops.

Ah, I did not know that, and all this time I've been carrying around those extra/variant clips and food when I could have stored the ones I didn't need.
