Just in time for Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Saturnalia, Squidmas, and Festivus:

\"\"

A variety of mugs featuring Elisha Kettel saying one of the greatest lines ever created by the random chat function. Also there's a Zerosaiko and a GearHead logo on the back. This is the perfect gift for technophiles, gamers, and corporate presidents set on world domination.

D'oh! I knew I was forgetting something. Don't worry, though- Festivus isn't over until after the feats of strength.

Damn. There's no way I can afford that.
I'm not sure it'd be the same as a t-shirt.

That's one of the troubles with these print on demand services- they're not cheap. How much would you consider a reasonable price? I'll search around and see if I can find a better deal somewhere.

Edit- Rereading the above, I sound a bit pushy. Sorry. I'm not trying to force mugs on anyone.

Personally, I think $10 would be good for a mug, but that doesn't seem to be possible. It might be possible if I were to pre-print a large number of mugs instead of using print-on-demand, but that would require me to buy a large number of mugs up front and hope to sell enough to break even. I'll do some more research on that.

The other problem is that I've heard Cafepress is kinda cheap and skimps on their print processes - although the last time I heard about it was a few years ago. It's why I've never bought anything from the Foglio folks who do Girl Genius.

There's a thread about merchandising over at the ComicGenesis forum now (which actually is what motivated me to put this together and stick it up). The general consensus seems to be that CafePress had quality issues in the past, but those have mostly been solved. I'm going to be ordering one of these mugs myself so I'll be able to report on their quality then.

I hadn't thought about action figures. Too bad I have a psychotic cat (adopted, so I feel obligated to keep her), and too little money/free space.
