I found out what the vendors can do when they don't like you in GH 2:

They make the vending machines "unfriendly" :)
(the vending machines in... X- spinner?... were backwards in the mall, 2nd floor)

You should still be able to use them. The vending machine in one of the rancon components must be pointing in the wrong direction; I'll check through them today and see what I can find.

Edit- I just checked, and there's only one vending machine component. Did the vending machine appear the right way out in other places?

They are usable; I just figured it was a small glitch that could be put to fun use :)
