Minor bug: Drones

I dont know if this counts as a bug, But when you fire (in my case, accidentaly) on one of your drones it counts as an aggressive act against an innocent, So you get hit by the same effect as if you just went beszerk in town, Namely becoming an infamous villian.

They are DRONES for goodness sake, Not children!

Hmmm, this could be a tough one. I'd have to do something so that shooting drones won't cause a villainous reputation, without affecting any of the cases it's supposed to affect. Maybe anything named "Drone" shouldn't cause the villainy system to fire, but then watch out if the random name generator ever came up with that one for a NPC. Maybe I should invent a new "Expendable" tag for drones and redshirts.

I've written this down in my notepad, I'll come up with something.

Maybe your team's drones could be on a special team?  Maybe other people's drone's too, because destroying them would be like breaking down the doors to a shop (which surprisingly the shopkeepers don't seem to mind!)

I reckon the Expendable tag is the best option, For things like "Live" ammunition (Drones), Having them ignore what is going on would be a good solution.

Just wondering, Would it be possible to give GH 2 the ability to support custom drones? It would make for a bit of variety.

Yes, that should be possible. Actually it should be almost trivially easy given the way GH2 handles effects. Any particular custom drones you'd like to see?

Yes, Here goes:

1) Suicide Drones

Yes I know we allready have missiles, But the point is that theese guys are equipped with a light cannon and once they run out of ammunition they will detonate upon impact

2) Scout Drones

Equipped with very light weaponary but an amazingly powerful sensor, Theese guys will spread out to cut down on the Fog of War

3) Brutal Drones

Drones programmed to attack the cockpit using melee attacks in the vague hope that they will kill the pilot or force him to eject, Theese could be given an ILLEGAL tag, Because they are designed solely to kill people.

Theese are just some ideas.

I'd also suggest the missile defense drones which shoot down incoming salvos being launched at you or your allies.

Railer Drones: come with a light rail gun, takes only called shots

Suppressor Drones: comes with a very light suppressor cannon (DC3x10 maybe, SWARM?) that has high enough speed to fire every round

Interceptor Drones: capable of flight, carrying a particle cannon

Pester Drones: equipped with a low-power BRUTAL melee weapon, very quick, designed to get right up in an opponent's face and eat away at their armor. For some reason I think of these guys shaped like Antlions in Half-Life 2.

I'd like to see drones that come in different scales.  How about a personal-scale drone launcher (with appropriate weight and price included), or a larger type of drone that can be launched by extremely large mecha, like the Monstrous?  I still want to see a Monstrous that acts vaguely like a land-based carrier.
