I bring back an old idea of mine, the Integral intrinsic, designed to made mecha parts an integral part of its master gear (non removable)
The old group post where I wrote about this is here:
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/gearhead_dev/m essage/3865
Uploaded to the yahoo group the souce and data files with the changes needed to do it.
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/gearhead_dev/f iles/Patches%20%26%20Add-ons/
Sorry no diff in this system so I included all the files. Also added a few design files too with the intrinsic added to some misc parts of GH2 mechas.
IMHO special "too ligth" or zero weigth parts should be given this one. (Those new shiny batteries of the Silver Knigths Buru buru... should be part of the arms and body you if you really like them need to get the whole package)

Good idea.

I think the mecha parts/modifiers that are currently unremovable should be changed over to this system.

Here's an idea: instead of maying them unremovable, how about making them VERY DIFFICULT to remove. As in, perhaps, needing the Gearhead equivilant of a natural 20? Dangerous enough that you're not going to try it unless you're VERY sure of what you're doing, or you've got money to burn.

The idea is to add it to parts like the jaw of a zoanoid head... how can you remove that and install on another head.. maybe you can remove it but no way you can patch it in another place.
Or the bunny ears/sensor rank 10 on the Alba, the whole head is modeled to have those sensors (in its 12.5 kg no ear is included so they should be included the head)
I'm talking about special parts who shape the limb/module where they are instaled and can be really reused. i.e. If you want gorilla huge claws.. you need to install the whole arm.

Curretly my changes (anyone have tried them?) only disalow removal and getting them as salvage with Tech Vulture.

Did I say before that this is a good idea and I want to add it? Well, anyhow, I thought it... I've written it on my to-do list for the next release.

I recall once or twice on the mailing list.

I also support the idea, Just dont make every little wee thing have that tag.

I added a page in the wiki for patches.

If you would please list your patches there, that would be great. Thanks!
