Gearhead needs a seperate Stomp attack for attacks versus scale 1/Scale 0. My suggestion is add both the legs DC together, and have both of them need recharging afterwards. (one was stomping, the other was busy balancing the whole unit).

But what about mecha with multiple legs?

Which... if it could be done, without looking horrible... brings to mind an awesome idea -- centapede mecha!  It'd probably be incredibly huge and have, ya' know, several dozen legs and a segmented body.  That'd be kinda' awesome.  It'd have to be really weak against flying things though, to maintain homage... which sparked off another thought; I know SF:3(4?) mecha-type things are in the works (space ships and stuff), but whatta' 'bout walking city type things?  I could see that centapede design actually be ungodly huge and maybe have a small city ontop/inside it.  Be awesome for nomad type cultures or a powerful bandit-type group on land.

Actually being on-topic, is there anything stopping the inclusion of some kind of randomizing thing, where a different load-screen would be chosen on each start-up?  That way you wouldn't have to choose at all, heh, just toss 'em all in there and have it cycle ^^

Monstrous sounds to be damn near the size of a whole missile base.

The Devil Gundam was kind of centipede-looking in one of its forms.

Did you ever play the MS Saga rpg for the PS 2?  I think it was the second or third incarnation of the Devil Gundam, but there was one battle in the extended section I just could not get past.  Which makes it also the only Gundam suit in the game/game Extras I didn't get.

Not too bad an RPG.  Not great, but decent for that type of theme console RPG.  Metal Saga was quite a bit better in my opinion, in addition to being an even rarer genre of RPG.  (You get to drive tanks!  Actual tanks!  And that's the main focus of the plot!  Being tank drivers in a post apocalypse world!  Plus it was open-ended, you could keep playing and seeing new endings.  Amusingly, there were even ways to trigger endings with the very first choice you make, and the first choice you make when you meet your first lancemate.)

[off topic, kehe]
*sniffs happily* Metal Saga... one of its predessors, Metal Max Returns (A SNES game, but hey, classic is classic) is nearing being a completed fan-translation.  It, as I understand it, is pretty much along the same lines as M.Saga, just, yeh know, a bit older.  Shame it's next to impossible to play without being able to read it, heh (And... yeah, I've actually beat one or two RPGs that were in Japanese... without the aid of guides.  It's a impressively tedious process, heh.).  Still, if you liked Metal Saga, it might be something to keep an eye out for sometime in the coming months.

Of course, the same group that's working on it is also doing a few Super Robot Wars translations, which might be of greater interest to most folks around here, heh.

Ruins of the Lost Kingdom. Japanese only RPG, fun, action, forgot the controls. Look it up on Great Games Experiment for a controls guide.

I've heard good things about it, and if I ever run across it, I'll probably play it.  I loved Metal Saga, and would gladly play through more of the same, even with old-school graphics.  In fact, if they had more tanks available (perhaps the graphics were too much effort) I would happily play for the same 100+ hours I put into Metal Saga.  I'm guessing that the tanks that the one NPC love interest/rich girl has were from the previous game.

I'll have to check out Ruins of the lost Kingdom, too.  Sounds intriquing.

Generally the only import games I do are...well...the girl RPGs.  Since they almost never get translated and I have a sweet tooth for them ever since Rhapsody's Puppet Princess Adventure.

I miss the soundtrack to that game.

That was possibly the most unmanly thing I've ever admitted on the internet.

Ever play the RPG version of Magic Knights Rayearth? There's a fan translation out there.

Hey, no worries JohnnyDmonic - you are not alone.  I have played around with a few girlish games myself, including the Magic Knights Rayearth RPG and Sailor Moon RPG for the SNES (Translated).  You might be interested in Cute Knight Deluxe, an game similar to Princess Maker 2 in concept, though I think the Western author of that title could improve it a bit...but it isn't an bad work, considering it was an independent developer who made it.

lol, who needs masculinity? not me. sorry I've been gone for so goddamn long. lol. Things came up and GH was put aside for a while. mostly my own projects and such.
Magic knights Rayearth was a god manga, and Sailor moon was awesome back in the day. XD

btw, if anyone was interested, here's one of the projects I've started. It's just a mini shooter game. meh, I just wanted to know what you think. I was thinking of making a Monstrous-esque boss for it. lol

well, it's nice to be back! how's the new graphics thing working, Mr H? have we gotten anywhere in the multiple hit animation area yet?

I tried reading the manga of Sailor Moon. Couldn't get into it. I'm more of a Clamp guy, I guess.
I love shooters, by the way. I didn't see a link, though, so now I'm terribly curious.

I don't really read/watch manga/anime. I generally stick to games. The better the game, the more likely I am to read/watch the series.

EDIT 1: Works at menu, but loads nothing in game. Do I have to wait?
