Machina : Point taken. Earth-shattering uber-laser ftw.

I think it'd be simplest to just place every item whose *base* is the same(every chocolate bar is a chocolate bar, regardless of if it is crunchy or not) under an inventory slot named the same as the base item, which opens to a second menu which lists all of these items separately, and uses the standard GH format of listing 25 instances of chocolate bar.

I never really collected that much stuff when I played GH1. It was mostly salvage and a few nutrient bars. The ease by which you can acquire stuff in shops does away with the need for collecting, IMO.

That's what I found as well, but I know there are a lot of collectors among the players. I think Varil's idea would work well; combine all items with the same name, then open a sub-menu with the individual items. I'll have to look to see how fesable this would be.

I would support an inventory filter/folder system.

The only proviso being that it's optional..

I've just come back from a five day sea cadet regatta (Think Navy. Think 6AM wake up call with a fat chief petty officer yelling at you to shower.) and I'm really tired..but I'll try to photochop an inventory filter tomorrow.

Optional is a good idea, preferably an easy-to-access toggle in the inventory screen itself. If I have an inventory of 1 nutrient bar and 3 grenades, I probably don't want to have to deal with an extra menu step until I start gathering more stuff and cluttering my inventory unnecessarily with supplies I will never, ever use..

Hence the optional.

Does anyone know what font is used by Gearhead?

The font is in the image directory.
