Twice now. The intro is about amnesia, and I'm 100 villainous pretty much right off the bat, because I shoot convoys rather than let them get away. (Call me petty!) Anyway eventually I get some spam email or something directing me to a town, and then... nothing. I chat up all the people but none ever say anything but the usual nonsense. Draining my will to play.
Is there a renown trigger on this stuff? Am I dumping too much renown by shooting up convoys?
EDIT: Restarted from a day 0 backup of the same character, refrained from shooting convoys, plot started up fine.
EDIT: I threw away a box of macaroni and cheese and I think I broke the plot again. Jesus Chriiiiiist just let me fight Typhon and get my loot. This whole "find random item, use random skill on it, maybe you'll get the next plot point or maybe fuck you start over" quest line is the worst I've seen in this game.
EDIT: Next time just write a story and code it. These randomly generated plots A) never make any god damn sense at all (Why the fuck would I even care where a box of mac & cheese was manufactured and then go there? Who thought this made sense when they wrote it? The quest NPC even TELLS YOU ITS GARBAGE!) and B) are horrible life-sucking houses of cards that ruin the game if you sneeze on them.
EDIT: Fuck this, I have a backup from half the game ago but this whole plot line is an untenable shitpile that wouldn't make sense even if it functioned properly. AND THEN THE HERO FOUND AN EMPTY METAL BOX WITH COORDINATES ON IT SO HE WENT THERE AND COINCIDENTALLY AN ARCHAEOLOGIST SENT HIM TO FIND A BOX OF MAC & CHEESE AND FOR SOME REASON WHERE IT WAS MADE WAS TOTALLY IMPORTANT BLA BLA FUCK
