So I'm kind of a bad guy in GH1. Like really bad. Like I would routinely have to fight off posses headed up by bounty hunters, the same bounty hunters that would offer me quests in the various towns.
Well tonight Turing shows up with yet another posse for me to nuke, and I'm tired of looking at him. So I snap off a called phase cannon shot to the torso of his mecha, and to my surprise I see "XXX damage, Turing is killed!" I salvaged his intact mecha and sold it, presumably after washing his guts out of it.
Up until now, the leaders of these posses, the NPCs that could also be found in towns, ALWAYS ejected successfully. This is the first time one has been killed. Now it's been a few in-game days, and no other bounty hunters have challenged me since.
Are they all too scared to come out? Did I break something? Has evil triumphed? Has this happened to you guys before? I can't seem to find any of the other bounty hunters in town, either...
Actually, ctrl-f on my save file finds no results for the names of any bounty hunters that I remember. Apparently they all moved away in terror once someone died.
Correction, the Snake Lake bounty hunter remains and gives out missions, but has not come out to fight me since Turing died. The Markeim bounty hunter is totally MIA, as is obviously poor Turing.
