Character creation crash

Hi Im using the win sdl 628 and when I choose start campaign -> advanced character creation when I choose the martial artist profession the game always crashes on me

an unhandled exception occurred at $0040D6F4

I've had similar problems with various combinations of profession and starting spinner.  Try rebooting and trying it again, or try starting from a different spinner.

Odd, it seems to work fine for me (martial artist that).
Haven't experienced the problem with other professions/spinners either.
Btw, are you using the 3D or the 2D version?

When I was piddling around with a built-from-source ASCII version, I had no problems.

Has there been any update on this? I still get crashed an awful lot when picking trucker.
