Questions about MUGL (and mecha thieves)
« on: April 07, 2010, 04:07:23 PM »
I have recently started a new RPG mode character and I have chosen MUGL as its faction. Must be because I love the Haiho (which is cheap and powerful -> XP galore) and reflex system mechas (why is the Zerosaiko so hard to find anyway?).

Last time I played GH2 (before v0.624) I played an arena team from MUGL, and I remember how awesome the Pixies were. Yes, Pixies. There was two of them back then, and only a single one now. Why was the improved version removed? Was it because it was overpowered?

Also, I have been looking at the factions definitions, and I saw that each faction can have a specific theme. I can understand for Hoeller and for Comet, but why is MUGL favored theme Industrial? Isn't MUGL the "everything must be pink" faction? Wouldn't the Beauty theme fit them best?

On the subject of corporations, I was led to think about those mecha thieves missions that they send you on. How are the thieves mechas selected? Are the always generic or criminal mechas, or are they picked from the stolen corporation pool?

The Zerosaiko is hard to find because the only faction which carries it in L5 is the Pro Duelist Association. You can get on in Gaos Spinner, or if you beat Caher and Vord opens up his shop.

The Pixie which remains is the improved version. In fact, it's better than the old Green Pixie.

I've been planning to add a Cute theme that would be given to MUGL. The Beauty theme might be a good stand-in until that time.

If the thieves aren't assigned a specific faction, they're chosen from the generic pool from your current location.
