Thoughts on this playthrough:

Did very little side-questing, and not a whole lot of skimming around for mecha parts and such.  Also didn't do quite as much skill training as I usually do.  I first tried the last battle at 10/10 piloting/gunnery and got nowhere fast, tried it again at 13/13 and still had an incredibly difficult time.  Did this playthrough solo with no lancemates (I had two at different times, but both died and I didn't go out of my way to replace them.)  I concentrated on big guns, single shot, and toyed around a bit with stealth/ninjitsu.  I reallllly should have gotten a smoke launcher, since overall I got very little use out of the stealth and it could have helped alot doing singleton.

One thing I'll note, I know it kind of goes against the spirit of roguelikes, but from an RPG perspective, things like Insight could maybe use a little more indication of when and where they help, and perhaps how much more you might need to overcome some issue or puzzle.  I got it up to 7 or 8, but overall can't recall any time I was sure it was coming in handy other than I think the occasional 'Hey is that a Pro Duellist badge?' dialog.  Again, I think tagging dialog options with their appropriate skill might be reasonable.  I know they're supposed to be something that can be figured out just by reading them and thinking it through, but sometimes it's hard to decide which one is taunt or intimidation, or whether one is based on renown or intimidation or whatnot, or just a straight charisma roll vs what is conversation.
