I'm looking through the Wiki entries to see if there are any mecha listed there that specifies a manufacturer.  I found one so far:

Ice Wind is made by Cobolt Battle Group, an earth-based faction I guess.

The Neko is Martian, but no details from martian factions yet.

EDIT:

Daum is RegEx, another earth-based faction.
Picaro is Hoeller.
Puma is Solar Navy

The Puma is manufactured for the Solar Navy (Earth Federated Territories space force) but being listed under general seems ok, as it's sold in all Maquise controled spinners.

The Secutor is produced by Ran Magnus, also of Earth.

The Corraich and the Dao Deoji were designed by Yangnal, but aren't produced by any specific company.

The Daum is produced by RegEx.

The A-2 Gladius is manufactured by Comet Metalworks. The original non-A2 Gladius was based on a frame from Comet but built on Earth by Ran Magnus.

Picaro is Hoeller.

I'm not sure where the wiki got this. The design file only lists: Maquise, Privateers Guild, and the Bohemian Collective.

This just occurred to me: is Maquise Spinner itself a mecha manufacturer(i.e. from their descriptions, players would assume Savins are made by Maquise Spinner), or are there just a lot of mecha manufacturers located there(like Detroit)?

Is it a bug that the Radcliff has empty faction brackets? Will it even show up in-game without a listed faction?

What is the Unique faction and will it ever include more than the Zeta Wolfram?

Both designs are out of the game, they are disabled but deemed "valuable" enough to keep until they are added later.

The Radcliff seems to be just some testing to transfer the model from GH1 to GH2, but never got really finished.

The Zeta Wolfram is an upgraded version of the Wolfram, IMHO is destined to be an unique mecha to be obtained as some kind of arena price.

It's like Detroit. Also, the design was commissioned when the L5 Alliance started beefing up their mecha forces due to the situation with Rishiri.

It's an Earth mecha. The Earth factions haven't been properly added yet, though I should add the Solar Navy; they'd have some people in L5.

As Francisco says it's a unique design (I seem to recall that he's the one who made it, or at least came up with the name and concept). Like the Radcliff, it's in cold storage for now.

Nope, IIRC I just helped with the port of the basic Wolfram design from GH1 to GH2... the Zeta version is yours or from someone else.
I would have improved the chassis a bit and gave it a bit worse external armour to balance things. :-)

Maybe the Savins should have Comet Metalworks somewhere in their description. IIRC, the only in-game relation between Savins and Comet that I can remember is telling a Comet dealer that I "hope to buy a Savin someday".

If the Dao Deoji is based around the core of a mining battroid, will we be seeing a size class 10 mining battroid sometime in the future? It would be neat to see wolframs and a few of these in a SF2 asteroid mine/dungeon.

Possible Bug: I was just viewing the design files from the main menu and I noticed that the:

Chimentero
Dao Deojji
Daum
Gorilla
Ovaknight
Skull
Custom Vadel
Zwar

...all have descriptions that are too long to fit in the display.

Whee, thread necromancy.

For the record, the Zeta Wolfram, if I recall correctly, started from some tweaks I added to the original G1 adv file trying to add a little extra interactive stuff to the world, namely having new corporate interests move into Hyoge if you successfully reopen the old mine.  The original version of the Zeta Wolfram was an upgraded Wolfram available for sale from the shopkeeper I wrote in.
