Old Sketches

Joseph Hewitt:
Here are some very old sketches I did for GearHead. I'll try to upload some of the newer stuff as soon as 1) I can dig my sketchbooks out of the closet, and 2) I have time to set up the scanner.

Many of the mecha have changed over the years. Still, they're interesting to look at.

The Harpy model doesn't look a lot like this sketch- when I redraw it for GH2, I'll be going closer to the model version since I like that better.

This is the Fenris. BioCorp tends to use scantily clad models (male and female) in their advertisments; Kettel Industries makes a point to not use scantily clad models, and to instead show models in proper adventuring gear (i.e. heavy armor). This will play a part in the "Miss Zerosaiko" story that may or may not ever see the light of day.

Francisco Munoz:
Can I have a try to redraw/trace/edit some of this (Ovaknigth/Fenris) to the inventory game image format?
I dug again my pencils a week ago and really want to put them to use, plus I hate to have no image for mechas when shopping.

Phil Munoz:
I am so gonna remodel the Buru Buru head to match that sketch.  With and without the horn.  To hell with limiting polygons.

How about some sketches of standard weaponry?  Like the MAC-4 and LAS-10?

The Ovaknight- sure. I'm using this image as the holotype, so if you can make an item portrait from it that'd be great.

The Fenris- I'd like to rework this one a bit more, and maybe coordinate it with the 3D model Phil is making.

The STC weapons are more standard specifications than standard weapons; also, I am totally crap at drawing weapons. I guess that means I should practice.

SharkD:
I like how the Ovaknight in the image has a larger torso than the model.
